P.S. Rowland's " Lest We Forget Life's Passion" is an absolute must have collection of her beautifully written work. Ms Rowland shares with you some of her most personal life's passions, she takes you on a journey many of us can relate to. When you begin reading her book, you can't help but " Feel The Connection" which is my personal favorite. I guarantee, you won't be disappointed owning this book. If you love poetry, then you will absolutely love P.S. Rowland's heartfelt work…..

I really loved this book, some of the poems hit home and I fully understood where P.S. Rowland was coming from. One of my favorite's was Cracked and Broken: Time was elusive, and not always my friend, but I smile, and no one knows I pretend. Her poems describe loss, pain, love and joy all that I have gone through sometime in my life. I hope those who read this book take time to read and absorb what she is writing within. If she would write another book I would buy it in a heart beat.

with protective armor.
She senses he,

Savoring each poem as I read it and seeing how they often resonated with an experience or feeling that I had experienced. After finishing the book the first time, I went back and re-read the poems that touched me the most and found several favorites- "Hurry up and wait"- I often find myself wondering, where is everyone hurrying to? The next stop light, then next corner, why is everyone in such a hurry? "Triplicity" - though I have no children of my own, I teach and care for other's children and this poem made me think of the kids I am with everyday.... I find myself re- reading many of the poems in this insightful and heartfelt book....it's the first time I have read poetry that touched me so personally. I promise you won't be disappointed when reading Ms. Rowland's passionate and heartfelt prose...

Love is ~
His scent when he walks through the door.

Love is  ~
The sexy crooked smile he sends my way the moment he catches sight of me.

Love is  ~
The warmth, and depth of passion in his eyes as he bores through my soul.

Love is  ~
The sound of his voice when he whispers "God I love you."

Love is    ~
The shivers that rush through my body at the mere brush of his hand against mine.

Love is  ~
The pure intensity when he hugs me so long and hard that my breath comes from his lungs.

Love is  ~
The fever that breaks out the moment his lips touch mine, a sickness I never want cured of.

Love is ~
The time he spends singing lyrics to me from love songs because they are "us."

Love is  ~
The silent moments that pass as we trace each line on each others faces, lost in the passion of what we see.

Love is  ~
Hours of talking and laughing over nothing, everything, and anything in-between.

Love is ~
The secrets, and intimate moments behind closed doors.

Love is  ~
A once in a lifetime love affair with your soulmate.

Cracks of altered lengths

… run the weathered face

Depth of feeling modified

… yet common in every race

Hunger, fear, and poverty

… chiseled this masterpiece

Eyes bulging with stories

… which caused each beautiful crease

Many pass him by

… never giving him much thought

My heart is drawn to his

… so I put money in his pot

Blessed I am with a smile

… he hands me his woven wares

Beautiful turtle doves

… that always come in pairs

Crafting for his living

… yet no one seems to care

They walk by with disgust

… only giving him cold stares

A beggar he is not

… he sells just like the stores

What others cannot realize

… his shop’s just out of doors

Daily we exchange

… we sit upon his stoop

Stories of life, and wisdom

… I glean over a bowl of soup

Fast friends we became

… in our mutual admiration

An educated man he is

… full of inspiration

Sad, and tragic it is

… others don’t peer below

Missing the real beauty

… that sets the soul aglow

Our time soon came to an end

… I’ve memorized each crease

Richer I am, for the experience

… from my merchant on the street.
