July Joys ~

Happy steamy, hot July to you!

Here in Eastern WA we are dealing with triple digit temps, and smoke filled air due to many wildfires. 

On a personal note, my ankle is healing well. I’m now down to a small ankle support type contraption. I’ve been told I’m not the best patient in the world in terms of compliance.  Who would have known that it was a no no to start riding the Harley four days after my fracture, in addition to boating, and jet skiing…. Hmmm well OK then… good thing I survived! :)

On the writing scene, things are moving along. Magnificent creations are flowing from my psyche, filling pages upon pages of words, and thoughts, to bring out the emotions you so long to discover. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around a theme, and presentation for the whole manuscript. In time, it will reveal itself to me, and that my friends is when the fun will begin.

Cut Both Ways

Double sided love is the thrill he instills in my soul.
Double sided love is the stab in my chest when I've disappointed him.
Double sided love is the yearning I feel in my gut when he looks at me.
Double sided love is the hurt deep in my bones when he misunderstands my words.
Double sided love is the warmth of his body against mine making us one.
Double sided love is the sadness I have in my heart because I am confused.

Double sided love is the smile he gives me that shines through my eyes.

Double sided love is the hate I feel for myself when I betray him.

Double sided love is the breath that is sucked from my lungs as passion soars through my body at the mere hint of his cologne.

Double sided love is the realization that he is mine, and yet he is not.

Double sided love is the flutters inside my being when I feel his proximity.

Double sided love is the emptiness when he leaves.

Double sided love is the realization that ours is the love of a lifetime.

Double sided love is our near death, because of our love.
