Hello everyone, I hope you’re enjoying “Lest We Forget Life’s Passion”. I’m having a splendid time meeting new readers, and getting to know you all.
I attended a wonderful writers conference last weekend. “Write on the River” in beautiful Wenatchee Washington. It was nice to meet other writers, poets, and gain valuable feedback, and encouragement.
Of course I made a grand entrance. I tripped and fell as I was walking into my first workshop and broke my ankle. I was not about to go home, so a very sweet person, brought me a bag of ice. I elevated, iced, and limped around for the next 6 hours. Then proceeded to drive myself 2 hours home, before going to the ER to be evaluated. Yep, broken. I am now the not so proud owner of one very unfashionable black boot. :/ It certainly is not going to match my other riding boot while on the Harley, but I will make do.
Current projects:
I’ve been working with a group from the Methow valley in hopes of being a part of a monthly poetry reading event. As that unfolds I will keep you posted.
The North Central Regional Library has for quite some time been trying to arrange for a weekly poetry/book reading event at the local Omak library. They’ve asked if I would be willing to be a part of that as well. Stay tuned.
I’m well into working on my second book as far as content, but keep coming up with various ideas as to how to showcase it. Work in progress!
Spring has sprung here in Eastern Washington. The vast array of blossoms, and greenery makes for a vivid mind collection of words, feelings, and ideas for future poems.
Wishing you all a beautiful, fun filled spring. Until next time, keep smiling, it looks good on you.
Sincerely,
P.S. Rowland
